The CrossFit Experiment

gyms in fort lauderdale

I WAS OFFERED TO TRY CROSSFIT AT MY FRIENDS GYM AND HONESTLY I WAS HESITANT TO SAY YES….

at first because I know myself better then anyone and also I heard about CrossFit. Let’s list the things I have heard:

  • It’s really difficult
  • You MUST be an athlete with amazing abdominals
  • You could possibly die
  • You have to be able to lift extremely heavy weights

Maybe you have heard the same things and when you hear these things your brain instantly say “No fricken way!”  I am no athlete, sure I run and work out but my job is a Bank Manager… after reading this blog walk into any bank and look at the staff.

I promise the majority of us bankers are not going to be in any olympic shape nor will we be in any competition. This is unless one day they make networking or cash counting a sport. I just did the everyday type of workout “I picked things up and put them down.” 30 minutes and I was done. I also like I stated before I knew myself and my body, you see I was in a horrific accident where I was hit by a car and this messed my body up really bad (A story for another blog) and my fear was CrossFit is not a workout that allows you to modify.

Then LJ the owner of Roxfire Fitness came into my life and shined a different light on what I thought was CrossFit was all about.

Like for example you don’t have to be an athlete to join CrossFit and abdominals are not mandatory. Lifting heavy weights is not true at all because you start off with little to no weights so that you can learn proper form. As for the difficulty part…well that is true and it makes sense if it was as easy as picking things up and putting them down we’d all be super models. So it is difficult but you will learn to embrace it. And you could die part… well you could also die texting and walking and what sounds cooler “He died but broke that record and gave it his all” or “he was sending a funny cat meme and was hit by a bus.” Point made!

So after our little talk I decided that I will give CrossFit in Fort Lauderdale a try… and I will hope you will follow me through my trials and tribulations. Each day I do this I will tell you about it briefly and really give you my honest thoughts.

Day 1

Name of the workout “Chain Reaction.” I was a bit nervous because it was my first time and even though it was only three people I wondered if they have worked out here before. I could tell one guy has because his muscles were bulging out of his shirt and I felt like he talked in CrossFit code. The other guy was like me… not sure about what he was getting himself into but we locked eyes and I could tell he was happy I was not bulging with muscles.

Like any workout it started with a warmup and LJ was great because he explained it perfectly on how we are going to do it and what it should look like.

When he said go he was NOT working out because he wanted to make sure we were all doing it the right way. Well the two of us… bulging muscles was in his own world. The warmups were kicking my ass and I closed my eyes and thought wtf am I doing. Then I remembered “CrossFit was difficult” this I found out in the fricken warmups but right when I thought I was going to stop the time was up. We stretched and the official CrossFit would begin.

I loved the workout because LJ modified it for me and made it so it was not impossible but still remained difficult. LJ kept telling us we are only competing with time… you want to get through it as fast as you can remembering safety. Once he said go I was all in and was pushing myself to the max. I finished with what I thought was a good time but what I loved was the feeling I had. I was shaking and I was tired but I felt good. To hear LJ say things like awesome job or that was impressive made you feel great. He was getting motivated with every push and with every grunt he cheered you on more.

I Also Wanted to Mention One Other Thing and I Feel That This Is the Most Important Part of Crossfit.

While I was working out bulging muscles took time to help out and also cheered me on and I could tell that we were motivating each other. Yes he was lifting heavier weights but it did not matter we were a group of people coming together to get the best out of this workout. It was amazing and at the end we finished with a high five and honestly it made you want to come back for more. So day one was impressive… but it was still day 1. I will keep you posted on how Day 2 goes!

What Is a Fitness Coach?

I’ve been asked many times by clients what I want to do. It’s an interesting question and one that always saddens me of the reputation our industry holds. You see, I’ve been an operations manager, an administrative manager, and a regional sales manager. I’ve worked in the construction industry, the credit card industry, the tech industry, in marketing; oh and of course the fitness industry. When someone asks me what I want to do, I always answer, be a coach. Nothing else I’ve ever done has felt right or made me as happy. However, being asked what it is I want to do, truly reveals the problems with the gyms in scottsdale az, and why Pulse Fitness is different.

What is a fitness coach? At Pulse, we call our trainers, coaches. Why and what’s the difference? Personal Trainers have a bad rap. When most people think of personal trainers, they think of a young college kid who has a physique of a Greek God or Goddess, but who is probably just working their way through school before they move on to a “real career.” At Pulse, we’re different… well except for the physique of a Greek God or Goddess part. That obviously still applies! A Fitness Coach is a professional! They didn’t get their certification over a three day weekend in the Yucca Room at a Holiday Inn Express. A Fitness coach is a highly trained and highly educated expert, with vast amounts of knowledge on the human body, exercise, nutrition, and psychology. Not to mention, that being a coach is their career.

gyms in scottsdale az
gyms in scottsdale az

Let me give you a brief example, a Nurse is a highly respected career. In order to become a Registered Nurse, you must go receive a college education in the field of Nursing and then take the National Council Licensure Examination. After becoming a RN, they must then renew their license every few years, depending on State requirements. A true fitness coach is no different. After they receive a degree in the field of exercise science, they must then go on to take an exam in order to become a Certified Personal Trainer. Their certification must then be renewed every few years, depending on their certifying board’s requirements. Good coaches, the kind you want to work with, are required to continue their education and professional growth in order to renew their certification.

At Pulse, we pride ourselves on being experts in our field. Your coaches have Bachelor and/or Master’s Degrees. They’ve done internships with professional sports teams or top training facilities, they’re Muscle Therapists, Nutrition Coaches, Corrective Exercise Specialists, Golf or TPI Specialists, Flexibility Specialists, etc… More importantly, THEY CARE. They care enough about YOU to continue to learn and grow as professionals so that they can help you achieve your goals. It’s rare to find a client with goals, or special modalities that our team hasn’t seen or can’t help.

When someone asks me what I want to do. I take pride in saying, “Be a Coach.” Great Coaches have the opportunity to change someone’s life for the better and it’s their job to get you to be the best you possible; physically and mentally. One of my favorite coaches of all time is the great Bobby Knight who said, “To be as good as it can be, a team has to buy into what you as the coach are doing. They have to feel you’re a part of them and they’re a part of you.” A Great Coach is a part of you and you are a part of them. Yes, they have the expertise to help; that’s important, but your successes are their successes and your failures are their failures. To me there is nothing I’d rather do, and that’s what you get from your Coaches at Pulse!

Picking the Best Crossfit Pittsburgh Box

Are you new to CrossFit and trying to figure out which CrossFit gym is the Best CrossFit Pittsburgh Box?  We get it, there are a lot out there to choose from. When we opened in 2013, there weren’t nearly so many options.  However, as CrossFit grew in popularity, so did the number of CrossFit boxes in Pittsburgh. The tricky part is that not all CrossFit boxes are created equal.  So, again, how do you determined the best CrossFit Pittsburgh box?

The first thing you need to do is check out the website and social media for each CrossFit box you are considering.  Does the gym has a clean website? Is it user friendly and give you the information you need? In today’s internet world, a website is like a business’s storefront.  If the website isn’t clean and easy to navigate, that can be indicative of the actual business. We’ve spent a lot of time making sure we present our brand through our website.  We believe that it shows you the welcoming Community we spend so much time trying to create.

Looking at the social media, does the CrossFit box even have Facebook and Instagram accounts?  Sure, that seems obvious, but we are always amazed to find out that other gyms either don’t have a social media presence, or it is really lacking.  If the CrossFit box does have an active social media, what does it contain? Is it just a bunch of random pictures of their members? Or, does the social media present a story of the gym’s culture showing a community, sharing knowledge, and celebrating successes?  Does the community look like something you want to be a part of? We are at “Industrial Athletics” on both Facebook and Instagram. You will see links to articles sharing knowledge, recipes, our members, the social events we host in and out of the gym, and all that we do in our surrounding Pittsburgh community.

Best CrossFit Pittsburgh

From the website, the best CrossFit Pittsburgh boxes will make it easy for you to contact them.  Did someone respond to you quickly? Does the CrossFit box clearly show an interest in the value of your contact?  Or, did you have to wait until it was convenient for them to get back to you? As soon as we see your email, we call or text you.  We can’t wait to share Industrial Athletics with you, so we can barely contain our excitement.

The best CrossFit Pittsburgh boxes are going to bring you into the gym to share their community almost any way possible.  At Industrial Athletics, we do this through a free introduction. It is a no obligation one-on-one session with our owner or head coach.  We show you how we teach CrossFit in a safe and informative manner. After the free introduction, we spend time with you in our Fundamentals Program teaching you all you need to know before joining the full CrossFit class.

As the best CrossFit Pittsburgh box, we believe in elevating the individual.  We pay attention to you and your goals. We make sure you that you reach those goals in a safe manner so that you can continue to receive the benefits of CrossFit, our Culture, and our Community for a long time.  We also make you part of our Community. It is vast social network that provide support, accountability, and fun. We are constantly planning and participating in social events both inside and outside of the gym. We also get involved in volunteer opportunities so we are always giving back to the city we love.  We will be more to you than just a place to sweat.

Personal Trainer Is That They Often Help People Stay on Track

best personal trainers near me

Are you hoping to get fit? Or are you into fitness and want to help others get in shape. You should look into finding or becoming a personal trainer. The main thing that a personal trainer will do is put together a plan that will help an individual get physically fit. The trainer will work one on one with a client. What is great about best personal trainers near me is that the trainer will gain knowledge about the specific individual and therefore can patent a workout and program that will be beneficial to the client.

Another thing that is great about a personal trainer is that they often help people stay on track with their fitness goals. Knowing that you have to answer to someone else may help you with motivation.

best personal trainers near me

A personal trainer will help the person improve in 5 major categories of fitness. The five groups are muscle strength, muscular endurance, body composition, cardio and flexibility. The easiest place to find a personal trainer is at a local gym or health club. You can also find a personal trainer that will make house calls. The most affordable option is to find a trainer at the local gym or health club. Personal Trainers New York City is a great site to check out.

While a personal trainer could be just want you need to get fit there are some things you may want to consider before signing up. When selecting a personal trainer you should understand who you are getting. There are certifications that are super easy to obtain and then the trainer can be allowed to call himself an expert in an area. A bit of extra research can help you with this problem. There are many different certification organizations, about 400. Of that number only a few are deemed legit. Look for ACSM, NSCA, and ACE certifications. Also while you definitely want a trainer that will get you results you don’t want to be run ragged while working out. If you are looking at a great way to get in shape and save money most trainers will give you a discount if you bring a few buddies along with you. Also more expensive doesn’t necessarily mean more weight loss. You have to go on experience when looking for a personal trainer. Also make sure that any trainer you work with has liability insurance.

THREE MORNING ROUTINES TO HELP YOU WIN THE DAY

THREE MORNING ROUTINES TO HELP YOU WIN THE DAY

“Routine, in an intelligent man, is a sign of ambition”. W. H. Auden

You have the most control over your time from when you wake, until you leave your house in the morning.

You can allow the morning to control you or take charge of the day by establishing a morning routine.

Taking charge through a morning routine sets you on a focused path, leading to a more productive day with organised thoughts and actions.

By experimenting with slight changes to how you start your day, you can dramatically change how your whole day goes!

Borrowing elements from Tim Ferris (best-selling author of THE FOUR-HOUR WORK WEEK), here’s three ways to develop a killer morning routine to help you win your day.

AFTER YOUR ALARM GOES OFF, TRY THESE THREE THINGS:

Personal Trainer Battersea

1. TAKE A COLD SHOWER RIGHT AWAY

Sounds like a rough way to kick the day off, but it has numerous positive benefits, including:

IMPROVED ALERTNESS

The initial deep breathing resulting from the cold water increases oxygen to the brain, making you more alert throughout the day.

IMPROVED FAT LOSS

The cold water activates ‘brown fat’, which exists to generate heat and keep us warm. Brown fat (the fat you want), essentially, burns white fat (the fat you don’t want). Taking cold showers regularly can boost brown fat by 15x, leading to 9 pounds of weight loss per year.

IMPROVED CIRCULATION

Your body responds to cold water by sending more blood to your extremities to keep you warm. This increased circulation makes you healthier.

2. MEDITATE

HEADSPACE (www.headspace.com) is a fabulous option to try (the first 10 sessions are free).

Here are a few of the benefits of meditating at the start of the day:

BRAIN PRESERVATION

A UCLA study found that meditators with 20-years’ experience had more brain grey matter volume than those who didn’t meditate (NB: this study also stated that there was some loss of grey matter due to age, but that meditator’s brain deterioration was less pronounced). Keeping the brain active helps preserve brain volume.

REDUCED SYMPTOMS OF DEPRESSION, ANXIETY AND PAIN

Meditation is often assumed to be a passive act without conscious awareness, but it is precisely the opposite.  Actively training your mind can be a potent weapon in managing depression and anxiety symptoms.

IMPROVED FOCUS

Meditation also helps you to improve the ability to concentrate. Any exercise that is practiced gets improved, and the concentration associated with meditation will improve your concentration throughout the day.

3. USE A FIVE-MINUTE JOURNAL

The 5-minute journal is a simple accessible way to track and focus your thoughts (https://www.intelligentchange.com/products/the-five-minute-journal) and there’s an app for it too.

The FIVE-MINUTE JOURNAL is a simple way to prioritise your day into what really matters.

It does this by asking you to list 3 THINGS YOU ARE GRATEFUL FOR. By starting with gratitude and keeping things simple, you stay focused on what you really want to achieve each day, full stop.

What does your morning routine look like? I’d love to find out what you do to start your day on the right track. Drop me a line at james@fittolast.co.uk and tell me what your morning routine looks like – I’m always open to adding a new weapon to the morning arsenal.

Follow These Tips and Lose Weight Naturally

Internet is full of wrong weight loss information. People tend to read information about the latest weight loss methods over the internet and expect amazing results in a short span of time. When it comes to natural weight loss methods, remember that “slow and steady wins the race.” There is no shortcut to live a healthy and happy life.

It is important to lose weight healthily and naturally so that the kilos you lose do not bounce back. Nobody would want to gain weight once they have lost it. Hence, focus on long term fitness and weight loss goals and start living a happy and merry life.

Stick to a healthy eating schedule

Most of us do not have fixed timings for our meals. We eat food whenever we get time or when we feel hungry. This makes us gain weight. Starving all day cannot help you lose weight. Make sure that you eat your meals and snacks at fixed timings only to prevent cravings.

Snack on yogurt

skins+seeds

When you feel hungry, you may be tempted to grab a bag of chips or a pack of cookies available handy with you. Rather than consuming unhealthy food items, you should snack on yogurt or nuts. Probiotic-rich foods can aid weight loss.

Add veggies to every meal

This trick can do wonders to your weight loss journey. Just adding a small or medium-sized bowl of fresh veggies can boost your metabolism and help you lose weight faster. Include fibrous fruits and veggies to each meal when trying to lose weight faster.

Avoid artificial sweeteners

Have you ever been tempted to opt for food items that mention being “sugar-free”? Such products could be harmful and do no good to your weight loss regime. Artificial chemicals may be present in such food items and they may cause weight gain instead of weight loss.

Start your day with hot lemon water

We all might have heard about this tip to lose weight faster, and believe me, it does wonders to your health. Consuming a glass of hot water with squeezed lemon juice on an empty stomach flushes out the toxins and helps you jump-start your day in a healthy manner.

Apart from diet and exercise, you can try meditation to lose weight faster. A few minutes of meditation or mindfulness can reduce the stress levels in your body and curb emotional eating. Switching to skins+seeds diet is a modern weight loss strategy that helps you start living a healthy lifestyle. skins+seeds diet plan includes replacing any one meal with natural skins+seeds of natural fruits and vegetables. You can continue consuming the rest of the meals as per your preference. You would start noticing awesome results since the first week itself. No more starving or restricting your favorite food items. Just replace one meal from your daily diet with skins+seeds and achieve your weight loss goals. You would notice positive results on your skin and health when you start consuming healthy foods and snacks.

BE STRONG, BE HEALTHY

It is a tale as old as time, women who believe they are exercising and gaining results and benefits using those pretty pink and purple 2-pound weights. Well… I hate to break up this fairy-tale, but that’s not doing anything. You are not working toward toning up or avoiding being “bulky”. The reality is, you are doing nothing except for maybe socializing or giving yourself the ability to say well I went to the gyms in Scottsdale, so I deserve this Starbucks.

We all know that exercise is important. We know that nutrition is a major part of living a healthy lifestyle, and a key part of reaching desired goals. This article is not about the benefits of exercise. This is strictly about why women need to strength train, perhaps even more so than men do.

gyms in scottsdale

Women get put in a hard place almost from the get go in life. Seemingly, no matter what time period we are in, body image issues seem to be part of every generation. I have witnessed it with family, friends, and clients. Women often tend to go to extremes when it comes to losing weight. They go on extremely low-calorie diets, they do cardio everyday for an hour a day, they step on a scale every day and freak out if the scale has not dropped by 10 pounds every day. And then – the cycle starts over again. Diet, cardio, scale and repeat.

We need to stop that cycle. Juice Cleanse, HCG Diet, Apple Cider Vinegar Diet and Grapefruit Diet, just to name a few, are all examples of crash diets that put extreme stress on the body and often can be more harmful than good. Sure, you will lose weight. It’s almost impossiblenot to lose weight on these diets. But, the question we need to ask is, “what weight are we losing?”

If your goal was to drop 20 pounds, and you hit that goal, but you lost 15 pounds of muscle and 5 pounds of body fat is that really good? Your Body Fat % would not have changed, and in-fact, may have even gone up due to the drop-in muscle.

It is a known fact that the more muscle you have, the more calories you will burn during an exercise program. So, why are you working on getting rid of that calorie burning powerhouse? Strength training helps in so many areas and weight loss is, of course, one of them. But, it is not always the most important one – especially for women.

The reason I stated earlier that strength training is more important for women than men has nothing to do with your weight or your body fat percentage. It has more to do with your long-term health and safety. More specifically, your bone density. As we age, it is inevitable that we will also lose bone density. This is just the way of the world. Women; however, are far more at risk of losing bone density than men are. And in return; become much more at risk of breaking a bone than men are.

Osteoporosis is a disease that attacks one’s bone density and one’s ability to make bone, thus causing a person to start losing too much bone over time. This results in leaving them very susceptible to injuries likes fractures and breaks. Now, going back to what we started talking about with those diets – why those diets can be so harmful is because when a diet is extremely low-calorie, it is often low in nutrients. This, coupled with no real strength training can start you down the road to osteoporosis.

A drop-in bone density is something that can be slowed and, in some cases, even reversed. It is possible to start to see an increase in bone density, with proper diet and a strength training program that taxes the body. Picking up 5-pound weights for every movement, every training session will do nothing beneficial for you. It will not help you lose that body fat mass, and it certainly will not help you gain muscle or bone density. While men run around lifting heavy things and putting them down, and then look in the mirror to see how big their biceps look, women lifting heavier weights has much more value and, in the end, much more importance.

Performing a safe exercise routine, with appropriate weight, and challenging yourself in a safe manner, knowing when to try and push heavier can make all the difference when it comes to protecting yourself down the road. So, put down those pretty pink weights and go push yourself to new limits and once you reach those limits push for a new limit.

PERSONAL TRAINING AND WELLNESS ADVICE FROM CRUX FITNESS RICHMOND – FIBRE

Richmond Fitness Centre

Adequate intake of fibre leads to several undeniable health benefits. Firstly, it aids in weight loss by improving satiety, or the feeling of being “full”. Secondly, fibre can be fermented by healthy bacteria in the gut. The presence of a healthy microbiome has been scientifically proven to improve mood, reduce inflammation, and even quell chronic pain in some instances. In other words, fibre makes you feel good on top of looking good. Finally, fibre helps the body to maintain proper blood sugar and blood lipid levels; so break out the fruits and vegetables if you don’t have insulin pump or statin use planned for your future. With all these health benefits in mind, it would be silly to turn a blind eye to fibre.

Richmond Fitness Centre

Thankfully, increasing dietary fibre intake is actually quite simple. Below, I’ve listed my top 3 nutrition hacks for attaining that 38 and 25 gram/day fibre goal for men and women, respectively.

1) Eat the recommended >7 servings of fruits and vegetables per day. No exceptions. If not for the vitamin, mineral, and phytonutrient benefits, then do it for the fibre!

2) Swap out regular wheat products for the whole wheat, or (even better) whole grain alternatives.

3) Mix beans and lentils into pasta sauces, soups, and stews. This is, in my opinion, the most
flavourful way to increase fibre consumption.

If you’d like to know more about, and start taking responsibility for your own health, fitness, and wellness, please reach out to Crux Fitness in Richmond Fitness Centre, Cloverdale, and Walnut Grove for any of your personal training needs.

Warnings about Protein Powders

Taking whey clear liquid proteins is great as we all know but sometimes we need to be very careful what were taking so here’s a warning about protein powders that you should be aware of while using it.

The commonly used protein powders include whey, casein, soy and egg white varieties. Whey clear liquid protein is a fast acting protein which helps to reduce the effects of muscle damage immediately after an intense training session.

clear liquid protein

Casein protein is a slow acting protein which helps to continue the repair process long after the training session. However, a natural source of both whey and casein protein can be found in milk, so which is the best smoothie ingredient powder or milk? The answer is a matter of personal choice and taste. Generally, the closer a foodstuff stays to its natural state, the more nutritional value it maintains. Protein powders are convenient to use but the amino acid content, and therefore the useable protein content, varies greatly from product to product so it pays to read labels carefully as powders can be expensive.

The added bonus of low-fat milk is that it not only provides a source of high quality protein, but also calcium, zinc and phosphorus. Calcium is a vital component of healthy bones and teeth, zinc is essential for normal body growth, and phosphorus is needed for the release of energy from cells and to regulate the activity of proteins.

Non-fat yogurt also provides a good source of calcium and phosphorus, and adds a creamy texture to a smoothie without adding fat. Dangers of a High Protein Diet Eating too much protein is counterproductive as your body cannot store it. Any excess in your diet will be converted into glucose for energy or stored as fat. High protein intake can also lead to: A lack of carbohydrate fuel if protein foods are eaten in place of carbohydrate foods which will lead to fatigue and limit your performance in training. Increased urine production which can lead to dehydration. Increased risk of stress fractures due to the accelerated calcium excretion caused by the above.

Potential to lead to too much fat in the diet (meat sources) and thereby an increased risk of heart disease and other conditions associated with increased body fat. Many carbohydrate-rich foods also contain good sources of quality protein, including leafy vegetables, oatmeal and whole grain rice, meaning that the recommended daily intake of protein is generally met through eating a healthy, balanced diet.

Best Protein Water in Australia

Protein water are commonly praised among the body building enthusiasts and the athletes. Now a days as interest of people is growing about their health and nutrition so it is becoming more common among the masses to take diet that is rich in nutrition. Protein is an important constituent of our diet and thus protein water are now becoming a part of our daily use items. Although the core objective of protein water was to acquire the energy lost during any workout or an athletic performance but now it is widely used for gaining mass and also for losing weight. Now the question arises do they really help? We will try to answer as many as possible of the questions arising in your mind in this comprehensive guide.

Protein

Before we talk about protein water let’s have a quick look on the meaning of the word protein. Our body is not only composed of a single material, in fact there are a lot of chemical combinations involved in it and proteins are one of the major components of our body. Protein is the basic builder of many of human body’s major building blocks like muscles, bones, skin, enzymes, hormones and tissues. An average adult person’s body has about 10 to 12 kg of protein stored in different skeletal muscles. If protein become deficient in the body it is impossible for the body to produce biochemical components required for cardiovascular activities. Its deficiency can also lead to slow growth of muscles and can also slowdown the process of muscle healing, thus it would be difficult for anyone to work above his capacity.

protein water
protein water

Although you should have never taken special proteins in your diet until now but that’s not the fact as they are included in many daily use food items including milk, meat, beans, eggs, seeds, nuts and legumes. Protein water are also a source to increase the amount of protein in our body.

What are Protein Water?

In the past and even nowadays, protein water are commonly used by the athletes for regaining their energy that is being lost in their workouts. Protein water are a combination of proteins, carbohydrates and fats or we can simply say that protein water are the drinks which compose protein powder; sugar, water and milk are blended with it. There is a large variety of protein water available in the market and it could be either in form of cans or in powdered form. Mostly protein in the powder is obtained from the following:

  • Whey
  • Soy
  • Egg
  • Casein

Why protein water are praised among bodybuilders?

The most common use of protein water is among the body builders who are trying to improve their muscles strength and muscle mass. Whenever we lift weights or do exercises our muscles contracts and results into microscopic tears in our muscles and that is the major reason of the pain after heavy workouts. The average days taken by a muscle to heal those tears are 1 to 2 and the job of healing is done by protein. Protein rebuilds the muscle fibers so your muscle can heal and grow at the same time. The muscle healing period may differ for those people who have never done workouts or heavy exercises ever in their life. Many people who start body building cannot move their effected muscles for even one week.

Mostly body builders or athletes drink protein water before doing a workout to gain the maximum amount of energy to enhance their workout period or to optimize the capacity of their muscles to lift weights. But these are not the primary purposes of the protein supplements, these are just like the helpers for our body and they help in building or growing muscles efficiently. Water along with carbohydrates can be used instead of protein water for optimizing your muscle capacity for some time. In fact it’s the carbohydrates in protein water which help to enhance the workout and many people relate it solely to protein water. At the same time it depends entirely on you to take protein water before or after workout.

What are the benefits of Protein Water?

According to the chief executive officer and also the co founder of the International Society of Sports and Nutrition (ISSN) it is difficult for the people to just take a meal a before the workout therefore these ready to drink shakes are the best alternative that any man can have. ISSN also claim protein water to be the safest alternative source for the protein.

  • Liquids have also more protein availability as compared to the solid forms of the protein.
  • Help in building your muscles rapidly and help them grow at a much faster pace.
  • Let your muscles build and help them to gain more mass.
  • It repairs your muscles and thus provides you relief from pain of those tiny tears which are brought by initial stage of body building and also when you have done heavy workouts.
  • As your muscles grow it also help you in increasing your stamina and thus helps to increase the time period of your workouts.
  • Our body absorbs liquid faster and use them in body functions therefore these are more helpful than solid protein sources.
